Uitenhage is home to a large variety of General Aviation Aircraft, which get
flown on a regular basis from this airfield. The
Uitenhage Aero Club
is operated from this Airfield, with its own Club House (The Windsock), and
meetings are held every 3rd Thursday of the month on the Airfield.
Anyone who is an enthusiast or who would like to become involved is welcome to join the meetings, or come to the Airfield as flying occurs most Saturdays and Sundays.
The Airfield has 4 runways, which makes is great for whichever way the wind blows. Our predominant winds in this part of the world are Easterly's and West or South Westerlies…
The Airfield is just outside of the Port Elizabeth Control Area and is also used by training Pilots as a General Flying Area which is safe and out of the way of other traffic.
